Yggdrasil Urban Wildlife Rescue

In Production

A legacy documentary and fundraising campaign created in collaboration with the Yggdrasil Urban Wildlife Rescue, honoring over two decades of wildlife rescue, rehabilitation, education, and environmental stewardship in San Francisco.

The project explores the organization’s impact through the voices of founders, volunteers, youth participants, and community partners — examining not only the thousands of animals rescued and rehabilitated over the years, but also the emotional and social impact of reconnecting people to the natural world within an urban environment.

At the heart of the film is a broader exploration of compassion, coexistence, and ecological responsibility. The work highlights how wildlife rescue can become a catalyst for education, healing, community engagement, and personal transformation — particularly for young people learning empathy, care, and environmental stewardship through direct experience with animals and rehabilitation work.

Designed as both an anniversary film and a long-term fundraising and awareness tool, the project was created to help communicate the organization’s legacy, deepen public engagement, and support its future vision for wildlife care and community education.

As Creative Director and filmmaker, Molly helped shape the emotional and visual language of the project from concept through production — leading narrative development, interview direction, cinematography, and storytelling strategy. The film combines documentary intimacy with cinematic environmental storytelling to create a body of work that feels grounded, immersive, and emotionally resonant.
