Returning to Unison

A cinematic travel and cultural storytelling series developed in collaboration with SNAG Magazine as the publication expanded from print into immersive digital media and episodic storytelling.

The project explored the landscapes, communities, artists, makers, and cultural rhythms of Northern California and Santa Fe, Mexico — translating the spirit of an independent arts and culture magazine into a cinematic visual experience. Through documentary-style filmmaking, environmental portraiture, and atmospheric storytelling, the series sought to capture the emotional texture of place and the human stories woven into it.

Designed as an evolution of the magazine’s editorial identity, Returning to Unison reimagined how audiences could experience storytelling beyond the page — blending travel, culture, design, nature, and creative community into a more immersive and emotionally resonant format.

As Creative Director and filmmaker, Molly helped shape the visual language and narrative direction of the series from concept through production. Her role included story development, location-based storytelling, interview direction, cinematography, and helping translate the publication’s editorial voice into a cinematic world that felt intimate, expansive, and deeply sensory.
